Roofers Lab, a service of Kraken OS LLC (doing business as Roofers Lab) ("Roofers Lab," "we," "us"), uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies on rooferslab.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what they are and how we use them.
What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. "Local storage" is a similar browser technology that lets a site remember small pieces of information between visits. Together, they help a site function and remember basic preferences.
What we use
Strictly necessary and functional. We use local browser storage to remember basic state that makes the Site work, for example, a returning-visitor flag and a flag that records that a popup has already been shown to you. We also rely on hosting and security logs that record technical information for reliability and abuse prevention.
Third-party tools. Our customer-relationship platform sets a visit-tracking cookie so that a form you later submit can be tied to the source that brought you here. It is described under Visit and referral tracking in our Privacy Policy and is switched off with the advertising category.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies or similar identifiers to tell us how many people visit the Site, which pages they read and how they found us. We use this to improve the Site, not to identify you personally.
Visit tracking. Our customer-relationship platform sets identifiers that record the pages you visit and the advertising click identifier in the link you arrived from. Unlike our analytics, this one is designed to be linked to you: if you submit a form, that visit history is attached to your contact record so we can tell which source brought you to us.
Advertising. We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which sets cookies or similar identifiers and reports your activity on our Site to Meta. This lets us measure whether our advertising works and show advertising to people who have visited the Site. This is an advertising technology, and you can opt out of it — see our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
What we do not use. We do not use session-replay technology at this time.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can clear local storage the same way. Blocking some items may affect how the Site works.
Global Privacy Control
Where required by applicable law, we recognize opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC).
Changes
We use the analytics and advertising technologies described above. We show a notice explaining this on your first visit; it is informational rather than a consent gate, because these technologies operate on an opt-out basis under United States privacy law. You can opt out at any time from the "Settings" control on that notice, from "Privacy choices" in the footer of every page, using your browser settings, or by the methods listed on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically, whatever your other settings say. If we add technologies that require prior consent, we will provide appropriate consent controls before turning them on.
